The bedroom is very important for all of us. We must take care of our selves and our surroundings too. We spend most of our time in our bedrooms.
Following are blunders which are avoided by us to make our bedroom hygienic.
1.DO NOT WASH YOUR BEDDING AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
It is insufficient to provide high-quality bedding. It is important to properly care for your bedding, which involves cleaning it at the appropriate temperature. Since we spend so much time in bed, sweat, dead skin cells, and dust can accumulate and make our bedding filthy. To properly destroy any germs and/or bugs that might be clinging to your bedding, it should be cleaned at a high temperature, ideally 60 degrees.
2.EATING IN THE BEDROOM
It’s worth noting that enjoying a meal or snack in bed will result in crumbs being scattered on the bed after you’ve finished. These crumbs could collect on your bedding and start breeding bacteria. If it’s a routine, you should try to break it and teach your children why eating in bed is bad.
3.NEGLECTING TO WASH THE BEDDING REGULARLY
It is suggested that you wash your bedding at least once a week. This will allow you to get rid of any dust mites that might have gathered on your beddings throughout the week. Regularly washing your bedding will help you avoid allergies and skin disorders.
4.FORGETTING THAT YOUR MATTRESS NEEDS ATTENTION AS WELL
Many people overlook the importance of properly caring for their mattress. Your mattress should be dusted as much as possible, aired daily, and washed once in a while. This will aid in the removal of germs that could build up and trigger allergies.
5.BEFORE DUSTING YOUR ROOM, LAY YOUR BED
Since it seems to be a straightforward series of configurations, often people make the error of preparing their beds before washing their quarters. However, stripping your bed after dusting your room will assist you in dusting away any dust that could have been lifted and scattered onto the bed when you were dusting the room.
6.CUDDLING IN BED WITH YOUR PET
Pets can be adorable, and fighting the urge to cuddle them can be difficult, but we firmly warn you not to do so on your bed. Pets shed and draw bugs, so snuggling with them in your bed will result in shedding and/or bugs on your mattress. This is a formula for bacterial overgrowth that is detrimental to your health.
Maintaining adequate ventilation in your bedroom is important. It not only improves your breathing but also helps to prevent the growth of mould and undesirable odours in your home. Even if you have an air conditioner in your apartment, you can open the windows sometimes to allow fresh air in.
These blunders have an effect on your wellbeing and sleep efficiency, so correcting them is important.
